Usually the Democrats are more subtle when attacking America's Christian Heritage

The image below is a portion of a screen capture of a page that was posted on the Washington State Democratic Central Committee web site. You can click on the picture to see the full screen shot of the original page. Then you can visit the Wa-Dems web site to see how it looks now.

This "art" was in an advertisement for metallic car stickers that the WSDCC was (is?) selling. The image of this particular sticker was removed from the site as soon as it drew scrutiny. It occurs to me that the folks who posted it are of the same sort who came up with the Orwellian notions "hate speech" and "hate crime." Of course, when they're depicting crosses that represent Christians, or perhaps even Christ, burning in hell, well, that's fair game. But how does this subtantially differ in thought from a depiction of some white-robed guys burning a cross on someone's lawn?

I learned of this tidbit of truth because the American Family Association sent an email message out about it. They're offering an on-line petition of protest.

Think about this: who really are the "hypocrites" here? It occurs to me that those who created this "art" are the very same sort of intolerant leftists who mock us for being against what they claim is a fictitious "War on Christmas." This sticker says a lot about that...and more. It says that in the minds of at least some of the left, the "war" that they're so adamant in denying is likely more complex.

Does it really stretch the imagination to believe that a war of some sort is being waged against the majority by the secular humanist religious left? And that this war is waged upon the concepts associated with that which is the most antithetical to humanist dogma: Christianity? Why shouldn't we assume that this onerous fish depiction is indicative that at least some sort of mindset exists within the political left that would like to erase America's historic symbols that pertain in any way to the source of this nation's moral foundation?

After all, symbols mean a lot to culture. There has never been a culture that has existed without them. They help define a culture, make it cohesive and speak of its traditions. Absolutely there are some, and perhaps there are many on the left do not like America's historical culture or its traditions. I think that in particular they don't like the long-held ideas about morality the majority of us still honor. The Cross symbolically says "no!" to a lot of things that the leftists among us want to be able to do that they don't want the "average" American to even think about. At least not yet.

No wonder they're so quick to desecrate it...and even quicker to hide their desecration of it when it is exposed.
